WILD ALES & OPEN FERMENTATIONS PART 1 - TOPHER BOEHM FROM WILDFLOWER BREWING & BLENDING
Part 1 of our Wild Ales & Open Fermentations segment I had the pleasure of being able to chat with Topher Boehm from Wildflower Brewing & Blending based in Sydney Inners West.
If anyone has heard of Topher and Wildflower in Marrickville you will know that they are an extremely unique kind of brewery as well as business model.
In our discussion, Michael shares with the audience how the growth of the craft brewing industry is starting to catch the attention of local council & water authorities. He gives the audience a basic run down on what brewery wastewater is and why it is important, the differing compliance requirements brewery owners have depending on their local area or state, as well as urban breweries to those in regional areas.
We also provide the audience a short visual share on the different systems and layouts of wastewater treatment projects that Aerofloat have done within the brewing industry (video version soon to follow).
Having an obsession for information, Chris found that there was a massive gap in his part of the world on how to go about starting a brewery, as well as being delivered in a way to provide a foundation for the layman to understand and act upon it.
